What is the Delaware River Festival?The Delaware River Festival is a celebration of the Delaware River along the waterfronts of Philadelphia and Camden. This annual event brings people together for a day of family fun and educational, water-centered activities.

When and where is the Festival?The 2023 Delaware River Festival is on Saturday, September 9 from 10am - 4pm. Event activities will be set up at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia, PA (211 S Christopher Columbus Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19106) and Wiggins Park in Camden, NJ (2 Riverside Drive, Camden, NJ 08103).

What is there to do at the Festival?In both Philadelphia and Camden, local environmental organizations will set up activities for attendees to learn about plants and animals, water topics, and more. You can also visit the Independence Seaport Museum or take a pedal boat ride around Penn's Landing Marina. You can take a relaxing ride across the Delaware River on the RiverLink Ferry or win a prize from our "It's Alive" Scavenger Hunt. The best part -- everything is free!

Do I need tickets to attend the Festival?No! Tickets are not required to attend the event. Event wristbands are required to ride the RiverLink Ferry and enter the Independence Seaport Museum building. You can get a FREE wristband at the Event Information tables in Philadelphia or Camden during event hours. Tickets are required for pedal boat rides.

Where can I get tickets for pedal boats?Tickets for Paddle Penn's Landing pedal boats can be reserved at the event, inside the Independence Seaport Museum. Tickets are available for half-hour time slots starting at 12pm until 4pm. Limited quantities available; tickets are first come, first served.

What is the RiverLink Ferry schedule?The RiverLink Ferry will run from 9:30am to 6pm. It will leave Camden on the half-hour of every hour (9:30am, 10:30am, etc... 5:30pm) and will leave Philadelphia on the hour every hour (10:00am, 11:00am etc... 6:00pm). The Ferry ride is 15 minutes long across the Delaware River, and free wristbands can be obtained at the Information Tables on both the Camden and Philadelphia sides of the Festival during event hours.

Where can I purchase food?In Philadelphia, food is available for purchase at the Liberty Point Restaurant, adjacent to the Independence Seaport Museum, starting at 12:00pm. Food trucks can be found along the River in Spruce Street Harbor Park, south of the Festival, just past the pedal boats. In Camden, food trucks will be available onsite for food purchase. Food trucks include Sabor Street Grill, Corrine's Place, and The Green Machine.

Where are the restrooms?In Philadelphia, restrooms are located north of the ferry entrance past the Great Plaza Steps, inside the Independence Seaport Museum, and south past Spruce Street Harbor Park. In Camden, portable restrooms will be available onsite.
